TOBAGO recorded its eighth murder for the year when 25-year-old Ankel Thomas of Lambeau was stabbed to death on Tuesday night in the village.

Thomas, the father of one, was left at the Scarborough general hospital’s Accident and Emergency department by unknown people. He died while receiving treatment.

A three-minute video on social media moments after news of Thomas’ death spread, showed Thomas in a fight with another man at the back of a house in Lambeau. In the video, Thomas is seen punching and slapping the unknown man while arguing over missing marijuana, believed to be his.

One police officer who previously charged Thomas for trafficking and possession of drugs, described him as a “pest,” adding he was well known to the police. He said Thomas was held for a shooting incident in Bethel earlier this year.
