MacFarlane in hospital

Mas man Brian MacFarlane has been hospitalised and is being treated for a colon infection.

He was admitted to the West Shore Medical Private Hospital in Cocorite on Friday night after complaining of feeling unwell.

However, he is assuring the public that his production Christmas Joy - The gift of the Drum, which is scheduled to open last evening and continue until December 3, will go on.

On the cast are Alethea Beharry, Wendell Constantine, Marlon DeBique, Anne Fridal, Lennox Gray, Kelwyn Hutcheon, Christian Mendez, Stephanie Nahous, LA Rose, Wendy Sheppard, Marvin Smith, Ancil Valley, Raquel Winchester, Cascade Festival Ballet, Twin Inc and the UTT Rapturous Chorale. Musical director is Dr. Charles Brunner while Dr. Helmer Hilwig is the drama director. Richard Pierre is the choir director and brothers Ian and Deon Baptise are lead choreographers.

Part proceeds from the gala premiere will go towards The Children’s Ark which is raising funds to relocate and reconstruct the Surgical Ward at the Princess Elizabeth Home for handicapped children.
