Chronixx fever spread like wildfire in San Fernando this morning as the Jamaican superstar was mobbed by students when he touched down in the city to promote his mega concert at Skinner Park this Friday.

Against the background of the Skiffle Steel Orchestra welcoming him with strains from his own music, screams emanated from the City Auditorium where students from Presentation College, St Joseph’s Convent, Naparima College and Naparima Girls’ High School had gathered before 8 am in anticipation of his visit, which was pushed back to 9 am.

Carried away by the moment, even San Fernando Mayor Junia Regrello welcomed Chronixx to the “second best country in the world”, saying the best was the singer’s home town of Jamaica.

In his whirlwind tour of the city, Chronixx also touched down at the Pleasantville Plaza where he left fans both excited and disappointed that his visit with lasted for a mere five minutes.
