Tea fundraiser to aid Vitas House

Vitas House Hospice will host its tenth annual tea party, Back in T&T for Tea, at the Hyatt Regency, Wrightson Road, on May 5, from 3-6 pm.

The event will feature cocktails, a fashion show, entertainment, door prizes, a marketplace, and prizes for best-dressed male and female.

This is the hospice’s main fundraiser and proceeds go to finance the services that are offered freely to and accessible to all terminally-ill cancer patients who have exhausted medical resources and have a life expectancy of six months or less.

In celebration of reaching ten years, a very special cocktail hour will be held in the lobby of the Regency Ballroom from 2-3 pm.

Also, Hadco Phase II Pan Groove will provide a musical backdrop for the pre-fashion show walk and Sip and Shop experience at the marketplace, which will host exclusive pop-ups from Sundara, CMID, Ortinola Great House Chocolates, Scarlette, Drevait, Crystal Bliss Products, Caboodles, The Little Imaginary Shop and Lisa See Tai Designs.

The Regency Ballroom itself is expected to be magically transformed by local designers including Derek Lee of Derek Lee Weddings, and feature a fusion of local culinary delights and desserts.

Entertainment will come from Grammy-award winner and singer/songwriter Angela Hunte along with soca artiste Nadia Batson.

The fashion show will be co-ordinated by Nigel Celestine of Tribe Harts, and will feature some of the best local fashion houses including House of Jaipur, Lisa Faye, Lisa See Tai, Shawn Griffith-Perez and Little Black Dress, while Josephine George will be responsible for hairstyling and make-up by MUA House.

Door prizes will be presented throughout the evening, including prizes for best dressed male and female patrons.
