Lotto booth robbed of $60,000

A bandit made off with $60,000 after an early-morning robbery of a Lotto booth at a building in El Socorro yesterday.

According to reports, at about 9.30 am the cashier was at the booth, located at Boundary Road, El Socorro, near M1 Trace, when a man entered the building.

The man pulled out a weapon and announced a robbery. He then demanded that the cashier take him to a locked area, and took a bag with the money that was to be used for the day. The man fled the scene.
