One more covid19 death, 123 new cases recorded Wednesday

TT has recorded one more covid19 death and 123 new infections on Wednesday. In the Ministry of Health’s 6 pm update, 81 more people tested positive for the virus.

There are now 1,201 active cases.

On Wednesday morning, one male patient with pre-existing conditions died of the virus, bringing the total number of covid19 deaths to 28.

The ministry’s release said 691 people have been discharged and up to Wednesday afternoon, 24,209 samples had been submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency, UWI, and other local sites for testing.

It said 1,920 of those samples had tested positive for the virus.
