Car thief arrested

A 21-year-old man was arrested during an anti-crime exercise on Friday after police officers stopped him for driving a car which was earlier reported as stolen.

In addition to recovering the car, Central Division Operations Unit police found and seized one revolver and five rounds of ammunition when they searched the car.

The suspect was also driving without a driver’s permit or a certificate of insurance.

The exercise, spearheaded by ASP Richard Smith, was carried out in Enterprise between 10 am and 2 pm.
