A Venezuelan father was jailed for having a tampered passport. Senior Magistrate Cherril-Anne Antoine passed the sentence today on Oswaldo Josue Acosta Rojas, 28, in San Fernando First Court. Rojas pleaded guilty.

Prosecutor and attorney PC Cleyon Seedan told the court that last week Wednesday the foreigner went to the Immigration Department in San Fernando with the passport. The prosecutor added that the extension stamp on page five was not authentic.

The foreigner wept after the magistrate passed the sentence.
