Volunteers tackle trash at Tobago beaches

Tobagonians participated in the Ocean Conservancy’s 32nd International Coastal Clean-up, the world's largest single-day volunteer effort to remove trash from local waterways, beaches, lakes and rivers with a two-day exercise at eight beaches across the island last Saturday and Sunday.

The clean-up campaign, hosted by the Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment, saw volunteers working at Courland Bay (Plymouth/Black Rock), Little Rockly Bay (Lambeau), Minister’s Bay (Bacolet), Carapuse Bay (Belle Garden), Prince Bay (Roxborough), Tyrrel’s Bay (Speyside), La Guirra Bay (Kilgywn/Bon-Accord) and Sandy Point Bay (Crown Point.
