Trinidad and Tobago women's team named for RAN Sevens tournament

The Trinidad and Tobago Rugby Union (TTRU) has named a 13-member TT women's squad which will contest the 2025 Rugby Americas North (RAN) Sevens tournament at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar, from November 21-23.
The team was unveiled via a social media post by the TTRU on November 5 and features players such as veteran Nicolette Pantor, Kalena Burke, Ornella George, Fayola Jack and the versatile Ketara Munroe. The team will be coached by Richard Staglon.
At last year's RAN Sevens which was also held in Malabar, the TT men finished runners-up as they lost out to a rampant Canadian team in the finale, with the women's "A" team finishing third behind Mexico and Jamaica. Meanwhile, the women's "B" team placed fifth.
This year, six teams will contest the women's segment of the tourney as Barbados, Bermuda, Guyana, Jamaica and reigning champs Mexico will join TT. There will be eight teams in the men's tier one category as the regional teams try to dethrone Canada, with a further six teams set to compete in the men's tier two field. The top three teams in the men's tier one category – excluding Canada – will qualify for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in the Dominican Republic, to go along with the top two women's teams.
A promotion opportunity will also be on offer for the tier two men's winner granted they are a full member union of RAN.
TT women's team for RAN Sevens:
Kalena Burke, TS Davis, Teresita Dillion, Alyssa Fields, Ornella George, Jade Husbands, Fayola Jack, Chaneisha John, Leah Kintiba, Ketara Munroe, Nicolette Pantor, Quaneisha Oliver, Kyiala Simon.
