Ex-Industrial Court president now TT's High Commissioner to Jamaica

Former Industrial Court president and deputy Chief Magistrate Deborah Thomas-Felix has been appointed this country's High Commissioner to Jamaica.
Confirmation of her appointment came in a post on the Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs' Facebook page on October 8.
The brief post said that Foreign and Caricom Affairs Minister Sean Sobers presented instruments of appointment to two new high commissioners-designate at the ministry's head office. The other new appointee is Chandradath Singh, TT's new High Commissioner to India.
In addition to serving in the local judiciary and industrial court, Thomas-Felix is also an author, who co-authored the judicial training and resource manual entitled, Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (2003).
She has also authored three books on labour law titled, Labour Law in the Commonwealth Caribbean: The Practice of Good Industrial Relations in the 21st Century (2021); Labour Law and Good Industrial Relations: Progressive Discipline and Maternity Protection in the Workplace (2022); and, You're Fired (2024).
She served as president of the Industrial Court for 12 years.
Singh is a career diplomat who was previously TT's ambassador to Singapore and China and he was also a previous High Commissioner to India.
