First Citizens champions SME growth

FIRST Citizens has reaffirmed its commitment to small-and medium-sized enterprise (SME) development and capital market advancement through its sponsorship and active participation in the SME networking event, Capital Access Roundtable – Let’s Talk Capital.
The event, hosted by the TT Stock Exchange (TTSE) at Hilton Trinidad on June 30, was designed to equip growth-ready SMEs from the TT Manufacturing Association (TTMA) membership with practical guidance on listing on the SME market.
It also facilitated direct, face-to-face engagement between business leaders and key capital market stakeholders – including brokers, investment advisors and regulatory representatives.
Speaking at the event, Avinash Bissessar, general manager at First Citizens Investment Services Ltd, said, "Events like these are critical to bridging the gap between SMEs and the capital markets.
"They not only create awareness but also spark action by giving businesses clear pathways to long-term financial growth.
"When SME’s succeed, communities and the country benefit"
First Citizens said, through initiatives like this, it continues to play a key role in strengthening economic resilience – empowering businesses with access to capital and delivering a comprehensive range of financial solutions that go beyond traditional banking.
