Maloney man in court for 2024 murder

A Maloney man has appeared before a Master of the High Court, charged with the murder of Michael Augustine, which occurred in May 2024.
Nebmarie Lee, 24, of Maloney, was also charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition when he appeared before Master Delicia Bethelmy on June 3
A sufficiency hearing date has been set for November 28.
Augustine, 35, of Tacarigua, was shot and killed on May 15, 2024, in the D’Abadie district.
Police said a male suspect was arrested along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, Arima, by officers of the Northern Division Task Force on May 27. Lee was charged by Cpl Bushell also of the HBI Region Two, on June 3, after receiving advice Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard, SC.
Investigations were supervised by ASP (Ag.) Victor, W/Insp. Sylvester, Sgts. Ramoutar and Radhaykissoon, and Cpl Subiah, all of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Two.
