Police are searching for two men who robbed a bar on Maraval Road on May 7.

Hereford’s Bar, a popular liming spot more commonly known as Pie’s bar is directly opposite TTT.

At around 9 pm, two men walked into the bar and one of them pointed a gun at a patron and announced a robbery and demanded the man’s phone, a Samsung A33 phone valued at $2,000.

His accomplice jumped over the counter at the bar and demanded the money in the cash register.

The bar attendant gave him the money which totalled around $1,500.

The accomplice then began stuffing bottles of alcohol on display into a bookbag.

He jumped back over the counter, and the two men then got into a gold Nissan Almera and escaped.

Meanwhile, bandits raided a garage at the Forestry Division on Farm Road, St Joseph, escaping with PVC pipes, a water pump and an air conditioning unit among other items.

An employee locked the garage around noon on May 6 and placed a chain with a padlock on the door and went away.

Around 5.30am the next day, she returned and found the chain and padlock on the floor.

She checked the room and realised a water pump, PVC fittings, office keys and car batteries were missing.

Staff then checked the rest of the compound and found the gate to the storeroom pried open.

An air conditioning unit, a power washer and the security camera servers were missing from that room.

The value of the missing items has not yet been ascertained.

PC Moosan of the St Joseph Police Station is leading the investigation.
