SEPTEMBER 2 marks the first day of school for the 2024/2025 school year and our Newsday photographers took to the streets to capture some of those precious back-to-school moments.
Both parents and students shared moments of joy, nervousness, motivation and love as they showed up on the first day of their respective schools.
