Transform your own perspective

Transform (verb): to change completely and permanently the appearance or character of something or someone, especially so that that thing or person is improved.

If we are to take him at his word, Gary Griffith's promise to "transform St Joseph like the police service" is only as good as one's response to the question: Is the TTPS today the same inefficient and highly questionable instrument of law and order that it was in 2018?

On the face of it, the answer is "yes," and any perceived changes that were registered in the three years of his tenure were temporary at best, and therefore in no way transformative.

Much like the use of the word "transformation" in his party's name, this claim/election promise is like a "paper tiger, swirling around in the raging torrents of a full functional commode."

Had Griffith been serious about political leadership and/or his political attractiveness, ie, his ability to win a free and fair election, perhaps his best course of action would have been to offer himself up for one of the two electoral districts where local government by-elections were recently held.

Set your sights lower, humble yourself and learn to walk before you run, Griffith. You would be a better candidate for it.
