THE small conventional steelbands preliminaries of Panorama 2024 began on December 8 in Tobago with four bands.

They continue on December 13 in the eastern region. Panyard judging took place in Tobago and the Northern regions on December 8, 10, 11 and 12.

After the 13th, it moves to the south/central region on December 15 and is expected to end there on December 17.

The semifinal of that category is expected to be held on January 6 at Victoria Square, Port of Spain and the finals on January 12 at Skinner Park, San Fernando.

Pan Trinbago president Beverley Ramsey-Moore said the small conventional category was progressing nicely.

She said she was “happy” seeing the resilience of the bands and was also seeing a significant improvement in music from the competing bands.

There are about 48 bands in the small conventional preliminaries, she added.

Ramsey-Moore said she expects a dynamic final.
