An 18-year-old underwent emergency surgery after he was stabbed multiple times over his gold chain in Point-a-Pierre on Wednesday evening.

Police reports said the teen was smoking with two men at the Pavillion of Okenton Recreation Ground around 5.30 pm, when one of the men, who he knows, stabbed him twice in his torso.

The teen reportedly ran a short distance before collapsing.

While on the ground, his attacker snatched his gold chain.

The victim then visited a relative's home who called the police.

The teen was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

PC Mahase is continuing investigations.
