Malaysian-based Petronas officials spent their second day of a two-day knowledge-sharing programme at the facilities of Atlantic LNG, Point Fortin on Wednesday.
In a media release, Energy Ministry said Petronas representatives were welcomed by Atlantic LNG CEO Ronald Adams.
Petronas officials and Atlantic LNG officials shared insights into their respective operations which allowed for identifying business opportunities and an exchange of best practices. They also toured areas of the facility which included the control room, the LNG trains and the jetty.
Energy Minister Stuart Young took the opportunity to make a further connection between Petronas and Atlantic LNG as the Atlantic LNG plant was used as a model for the Petronas facilities in Egypt, the release said.
