Time to get together and demand a better government

THE EDITOR: I am deep disappointed and frustrated with the recent failures of the PNM government. It is disheartening to witness the continuous mismanagement and lack of progress in our country under its leadership. As citizens, it is high time we rally together and demand better.

The Government has repeatedly let down the people with its inability to address fundamental issues and provide effective solutions. From the crumbling infrastructure to the struggling economy, it seems that our concerns and needs are falling on deaf ears. Instead of taking decisive action, all we see is a government that is more interested in blame-shifting and deflecting responsibility.

As individuals, we cannot simply sit and complain about the state of affairs. We must unite as a collective voice, standing up against this incompetence and demanding the change we so desperately need. It is time to say enough is enough.

Together, we must hold our elected officials accountable for their actions and demand transparency, accountability and real progress. We deserve a government that genuinely works towards the betterment of our nation, not one that prioritises personal agendas or political manoeuvring.

Moreover, it is crucial that we actively engage in the democratic process. We need to educate ourselves about the policies and actions of those we elect into power. We must ask the tough questions, demand answers, and make informed decisions when casting our votes.

It is only through collective action and citizen participation that we can truly bring about the change we desire. Let us not be complacent or passive observers of our own futures. Let us instead come together, stand up, and demand the government we deserve.
