Why rush for bodies?

THE EDITOR: It always intrigues me when police vehicles, with sirens blaring and headlights on, force vehicular traffic out of their lanes as they accompany a hearse to collect a body. What's the rush?

Can you imagine the drama which would ensue if you do not move out of the way fast enough and the police vehicle hits your vehicle? Will the police stop and treat with the accident that they caused or will they continue to rush willy-nilly to collect the dead and leave you to ketch?
