Red Cross launches More Than a Sign campaign

The Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society (TTRCS) has launched its More Than a Sign campaign which spotlights the diverse human faces behind the iconic Red Cross symbol, while fostering renewed engagement between the public and the TTRCS.

The campaign, launched on August 8, is a significant reminder that the Red Cross emblem encompasses lives and stories – real, diverse, and deeply impactful, a media release said. Rooted in the fundamental principle of voluntary service, it reflects the core values that drive the society’s efforts. It also serves as a rallying point for all people who pledge their energy, resources, and time to the TTRCS to address the many social challenges that are faced today, the release said.

The Red Cross said it recognises that in a world marked by uncertainty and need, the power of volunteers extends far beyond their symbolic presence. It said that as it celebrates 60 years of service, the More Than a Sign campaign stands as a testament to its commitment to the principles that have shaped its journey. Through the collective effort of volunteers, partners and supporters, the Red Cross continues to save lives and build resilience in every corner of TT, the release said.

The TTRCS said it stands as a symbol of humanity, a lifeline for those facing the harshest of circumstances, from natural disasters to social issues and beyond. "Whether it’s an individual, a business, or a community, your contribution and support can make a world of difference," it said.
