Calypso Girls fall 70-55 to Wales at Netball World Cup

THE Calypso Girls lost another match at the 2023 Netball World Cup falling 70-55 to Wales at the Cape Town International Convention Centre Arena II in South Africa on Thursday.

TT will now play in the 11th-place playoff against Fiji at 3 am (TT time) on Saturday.

Goal shooter Afeisha Noel led the way for TT against Wales, converting 44 of 49 attempts on goal and goal attack Joelisa Cooper completed 11 of 12 shots on goal.

Georgia Rowe was almost flawless for Wales finishing 47 of 48 shots on goal.

TT have now lost all their matches in the second phase of the tournament as the Calypso Girls also fell to South Africa (69-28) and Jamaica (89-26).
