11 vie for Independence Classical Song competition title

ELEVEN remarkable contestants have secured a space in the finals of the second Independence Classical Song Competition after the preliminary round.

The 11 will come up against defending champion Devashish Ramdath at the competition scheduled for August 26 and being hosted by NeeLeeJi Entertainment Ltd.

The finals will take place at Whiskey Business Restaurant and Lounge located at Tulsa Trace Extension, Penal. Show starts at 7.30 pm.

Executive producer Surujdeo Mangaroo and NeeLeeJi Entertainment, a leading provider of exquisite musical experiences and a pioneer in discovering and nurturing exceptional talent, is promising a show stopping experience.

Contestants vying for the grand prize of $25,000, are expected to perform three songs each.

There is also a $5,000 prize for the best drummer and $3,000 for the best Dhantalist.

Guest performers will include pannist Sunanda Mohip, Veejai Ramkissoon and Qualitech Roaring Iron Riddim Section.
