THE EDITOR: The trio of gems located in the Eastern Caribbean are gaining more popularity and therefore prosperity. Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique are garnering increasing visitors.

A merit to extol is their peacefulness as there is no crime. Night tourism (unlike here in TT) is flourishing in addition to daytime tourism. A visitor is never a victim of an illegal act.

Airlift is more consistent there than at other islands. Daily flights from multiple airlines occur to multiple, economic cluster hubs such as Miami and New York. Incoming aircraft are always full.

Spicemas, their carnival, is literally two weeks of revelry during August. In addition to their events tourism, they have a growing regatta spectacle.

Voluntourism might soon be a mainstay of their tourism cluster as this trend is also taking hold elsewhere. Visitors will not lack wholesome (especially environmental) activities such as turtle research and monitoring.

Those isles are the constant recipients of multiple accolades from esteemed publications and other media entities. Awards such as best beaches, places to travel and for geographic wonders, such as their underwater sculpture park.

Real estate in particular experienced a boom as soaring numbers of foreigners have bought properties while others have embarked on ambitious developments. Other visitors have ventured into start-ups and other foreign direct investment ventures.

They are proving themselves to be a stellar example for other small nations to model themselves after.
