Canadian-based TT roots and culture sound systems Miking Music and ReggaeMatic Sounds have arrived in Trinidad for Monday’s second edition of Global FM Reggae Radio’s Culture Festival at Motown Pan Yard on Navet Road, Mon Repos, San Fernando.

Both sound systems have rich roots in Trinidad, but migrated to Toronto, and have returned home after several years abroad to feature their musical strides at the festival.

TT-based Jah Tower Global Sounds is the event’s host and welcomes the public to a night of celebration and freedom ahead of the Emancipation Day holiday.

Tower said, “The festival aims to educate and inspire a revival of positivity in TT because of its current state of affairs. The deejays and reggae artistes who will perform are destined to deliver positive vibes only and uplift those present.”

Also performing are TT reggae artistes Sista Efa, Mr Royal and Daniel Bless.

Joining both sound systems at the controls are legendary Black Chariot International, King Sound of Israel and Jah Tower Global.
