Rio Claro man charged with indecent assault in San Fernando

A man from Rio Claro was expected to face a San Fernando magistrate on Wednesday after allegedly grabbing a woman below her waist on the streets on Tuesday. He also allegedly made an explicit remark before removing his hands.

The victim alerted passers-by, who stopped him from walking away, and they alerted the police who were on patrol nearby.

The incident happened at Library Corner.

The police arrested the suspect from Tabaquite Road, and he apologised for his action.

He was taken to the San Fernando police station, where WPC Mataclearance later charged him with indecent assault.
