Women's bodies found in Carenage river, Chatham beach

POLICE have no motive in the discovery of a dead woman in Carenage on Saturday morning.

Police told Newsday that the unidentified woman was found laying face down in a river a short distance from L’anse Mitan Road.

In an unrelated but similar incident police are also working to identify the body of another woman that washed ashore on Friday afternoon at Chatham beach.

The body was transported to the Forensic Science Centre for an autopsy. Sources explained both bodies are badly decomposed.
