Sheppard pedals to six national youth cycling titles

Rigtech Sonics Cycling Club’s Reon Sheppard pedalled to a whopping six national titles at the Youth National Track Cycling Championships in Irwin Park, Siparia, over the weekend.

Sheppard was golden in the time trial (333.33m), individual pursuit (666.66m), sprint, scratch, keirin and team pursuit.

Vapor Wake Multi-Sport Club’s Taariq Guevara and Arima Wheeler’s Scarlett Thorne pedaled to five national titles each at the Youth National Track Cycling Championships in Irwin Park, Siparia, over the weekend.

Guevara dominated the boys’ U9 category and was crowned the division’s time trial, sprint, scratch, keirin and team sprint (with Adiosie Lewis and Elijah Greene) champion.

Thorne competed in the girls’ U11 and earned the title of national champion in time trial, individual pursuit, sprint, scratch race and keirin.
