Scotiabank was named best bank in TT by Euromoney at its awards for Excellence, 2023.

It announced the accolade in a media release on Monday.

Senior vice president and managing director of Scotiabank Gayle Pazos described the award as exciting, as it was the first time the bank had been recognised. She expressed gratitude to customers who continue to place their trust in the bank, saying the feedback helps to build a better bank with new services, products and tools.

“Highlights of the recognition include the bank's progress in transforming its business digitally, with continuous features added to the Scotia Caribbean mobile app, including the launch of Scotia SelectPay the introduction of Scotia eCom+, the bank’s e-commerce solution and digital account opening. These advancements saw non-branch transactions increasing by 34 per cent and digital adoption hit 51 per cent,” Scotiabank said in the release.

For the past 20 years, Euromoney magazine has recognised the best in private banking worldwide using its private banking and wealth management survey.

Among the categories examined this year were high and ultra-high net worth, family office services, wealth transfer and succession planning, digital services, discretionary portfolio management and ESG investments.

The awards covered the period from October 2021-September 2022.
