Hello boys and girls, your vacation has officially started and you now have lots of time to do some fun things. Why not join Lola in learning about some of the history of TT? It’s easy to think of history as a list of dates, names, and events. But when you look closer, you’ll see that history is full of stories about real people who have faced challenges and made choices, just like us. In fact, studying history can help us better understand the present and make more informed decisions about the future.

Located on the north-west peninsula of Trinidad, the coastal town of Chaguaramas is steeped in history. The Treaty of Chaguaramas, popularly known as Caricom, was signed on July 4, 1973 in Chaguaramas. It came into effect on August 1, 1973. The treaty established the regional institution.

Fast forward to the present day, Chaguaramas is a treasured public park, the yachting capital of TT, and is best known for water sports, recreational activities, and its pristine beauty.

Boy and girls, during this vacation, explore our rich history at Chaguaramas, glide through the Bamboo Cathedral, Tucker Valley, and the Military History and Aerospace Museum, and see other breathtaking views. But if you cannot do in-person visits there are a few sites online.

When you have completed your tour, I would like you to draw pictures of these breathtaking sites.
