The Tobago Performing Arts Company (TPAC) presented its 2023 flagship production, Once on this Island, from June 29-July 1 at the Pigeon Point Heritage Park Pavilion.

The full-length musical theatre production is set in the Caribbean and treats with themes of love and division, discourse on race, class, and colour, and looks at the complex history of the Caribbean.

The production written by Lynn Ahrens, with music by Stephen Flaherty, is based on Rosa Guy's novel, My Love, My Love.

Once on this Island highlighted music, blending pan, calypso, reggae and elements of Tobago folk.
