PM, keep running and call election

THE EDITOR: From media reports, the Prime Minister dodged, or may I say ran away from, questions from the media concerning the runaway crime in the country.

This is not surprising as the Prime Minister has lost the war against crime. The daily murders and home invasions are now becoming the norm and I can speak on that having been a victim myself.

The Prime Minister, who claimed to have the answer to fight crime, has failed along with his failing Minister of National Security.

This Government continues to govern without a plan, without any solution and cannot give a glimmer of hope to the nation. However, what the Prime Minister did was to appoint a new junior minister to the Ministry of Works to appease who I really do not know.

What the Prime Minister ought to have done was remove Fitzgerald Hinds as Minister of National Security, bring back the National Operations Centre and give the citizens a chance to breathe. Every sector of the society is under siege and the Government is not doing anything to solve the problem.

The Prime Minister is the head of the Government and also head of the National Security Council and the nation that he took an oath to serve is crying out. Crying out at the funerals of murder victims, crying out at the homes of our elderly when they have been robbed and beaten, and crying out for Justice.

Prime Minister, when next you run from the media, just keep running and call a general election. Time to let citizens have their say and put a government that can fight crime and give the people justice.
