40 held in police raid at Claxton Bay bar and hotel

OVER 40 people were detained during a raid at Paraiso Bar and Hotel, Claxton Bay on Thursday.

Police said they found guns and drugs during the exercise.

Police are also continuing investigations into human trafficking charges, as some of the Spanish-speaking female detainees claimed they were being forced to work against their will.

Charges are yet to be laid.
