Alliance Française celebrates patois, creole culture
The Alliance Française will celebrate patois language and creole culture for its October cultural agenda titled Kreyol Month. Events will take place online and in-person and include a lecture, competition and conference.
October 13,
6 pm: lecture – The Drive to Creolise Popular Culture and the Creole Dynamic in St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago with Dr Travis Weekes; at the Alliance Française, 17 Alcazar Street, St. Clair, Port of Spain and Facebook live.
October 22,
3 pm: It’s a Wrap! Competition on best-looking Madras head tie with Sonja Dumas, on Zoom.
