No racing at Santa Rosa on Saturday

THERE WILL be no racing at the Santa Rosa Park, Arima, according to a media release from the Arima Race Club (ARC) on Tuesday.

"The management of Arima Race Club wishes to advise all stakeholders that due to a paucity of entries, Race Day 13, scheduled for Saturday 16th July 2022, has been cancelled," said the media release.

"The next scheduled day of local racing will be Race Day 14 – Monday 1st August 2022."

Due to the economic hardship caused by the covid19 pandemic, the racing industry have been facing a number of problems, including fewer entrants and reduced purses on race days.
