BANGLADESH sealed the three-match One Day International series with a comprehensive nine-wicket win over West Indies in the second match at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence, Guyana, on Wednesday.

West Indies could only manage 108 all out in 35 overs batting first. Keemo Paul scored an unbeaten 25 off 24 deliveries in the closing overs of the West Indies innings and opener Shai Hope hit 18.

The spin pair of Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Nasum Ahmed did the bulk of the damage. Miraz grabbed 4/29 in eight overs and Ahmed took 3/19 in ten overs.

In reply, Bangladesh eased to victory getting to 112/1 in 20.4 overs to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Tamim Iqbal struck 50 not out off 62 balls with seven fours and Litton Das scored 32 not out off 27 balls.

Spinner Gudakesh Motie was the lone wicket taker for West Indies ending with 1/39 in 7.4 overs.

The third and final match of the series will be played on Saturday from 9.30 am in Guyana.
