Elated PM returns

THE EDITOR: Prime Minister Rowley has no doubt returned from his overseas trip in a refreshed and ecstatic mood, having received a clean bill of health after his medical check-up.

Irrespective of the fact he returns with simmering unease among the people as they battle the increasing cost of living, a spiralling crime rate and more unemployment, he must be jubilant that the recent storm spared us more pain than we could bear.

He must, however, be even more overjoyed and elated that the 11,556 people who voted to retain Kamla Persad-Bissessar as the UNC leader have now guaranteed him victory in the next general election.
