Rangers aim to continue unbeaten run

TERMINIX La Horquetta Rangers will be aiming to continue their unbeaten run in the Ascension Invitational Football Tournament on Friday, when they entertain AC Port of Spain in a 14th round fixture at the La Horquetta Recreation Ground, Arima.

Rangers, who have 35 points from 13 games, are the only team yet to taste defeat this season. They have a five-point lead over second-placed Police, and they will want to continue their march towards the title with full points against the fifth-placed AC Port of Spain.

This game is carded for 8.10 pm, two hours and ten minutes after the start of the evening’s double-header, between Cunupia FC and Central Soccer World.

Police will be at home on Sunday, and will want to keep up the pressure on Rangers when they entertain Central FC at the Police Barracks, St James from 5 pm.

A pair of games on Saturday, at the Arima Velodrome, from 5 pm, will also be on the agenda – Deportivo Point Fortin will meet Moruga FC and Defence Force will oppose Real West Fort United.
