A driver with the TT Ride Share (TTRS) service was beaten and robbed by someone who ordered a taxi on Wednesday.

Police said the 39-year-old driver was working with his blue Kia Nero at around 2.30 pm when he received a request for a taxi in Carapo.

When he arrived, a man got into the car and aimed a gun at him. The bandit stole two cellphones and $600 in cash.

The driver tried to struggle with the bandit, but was beaten.

He managed to drive off before the bandit could steal his car.
