Day one will feature the time trial followed by the road race on day two. Categories being contested are the junior, Under-23 and elite men and women.

The time trial carries a distance of 5.8km per lap. For this event, cyclists will start based on their 2019 national time trial standings with a one-minute gap in between each cyclist.

Cyclists will also have a chance to qualify for the Elite and Junior Caribbean Road Championships later this year. The qualifying time trial standards are 42km/h (elite men), 35km/h (elite women and junior men) and 32 km/h (junior women).

Additionally, Sunday’s road race is an estimated 102km. The race begins at Ato Boldon Stadium, heads north to Mt Hope, then back to Gandhi Village, Debe and finishes on the Rivulet Road, Couva.

Cyclists in this event will be selected to the national team for the Caribbean Championships based (in no particular order) on performances throughout the selection period, including but not limited to final placing, efforts during the event, aggressiveness and teamwork. Also, consideration will be granted to foreign-based cyclists who have submitted detailed reports, times and results according to the TT Cycling Federation’s Selection Policy Chapter 9.
