3 new covid deaths, 145 new infections

THREE more people have died from the covid19 virus, the Health Ministry said in its daily update on Tuesday.

The deceased are an elderly man and woman and an adult man. Two of the three had multiple comorbidities while the third only had one. The current death toll is 3,987.

According to the ministry, there were 145 new infections, taking the country's active cases to 7,077.

Between Monday and Tuesday, seven people were discharged from health institutions after being treated for the virus while 271 people recovered at home.

There are five people warded in the high dependency unit and one in the intensive care unit. As of Tuesday, 713,394 people were vaccinated with 162,783 receiving a booster (third dose) shot.
