Pakistan clinch ODI series against West Indies

PAKISTAN clinched the three-match One Day International (ODI) series against West Indies with a crushing 120-run win in the second match at the Multan International Cricket Stadium in Pakistan, on Friday.

The West Indies restricted Pakistan to 275/8 in their 50 overs after being 187/2 in the 36th over.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam cracked 77 off 93 deliveries with five fours and one six to lead the way.

Imam-ul-Haq looked solid in his knock of 72 of 72 balls.

Left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein bagged 3/52 in ten overs and the fast bowling pair of Alzarri Joseph (2/33) and Anderson Phillip (2/50) grabbed two wickets apiece.

In response, West Indies were in the contest progressing to 102/3 in the 19th over.

However, a collapse ensued and West Indies were all out for 155 in 32.2 overs.

Shamarh Brooks struck four fours and one six in his innings of 42 off 56 balls and Kyle Mayers chipped in with 33 off 25 balls.

The trio of left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz (4/19), pace bowler Mohammad Wasim (3/34) and leg-spinner Shadab Khan (2/40) were the chief destroyers for Pakistan.

The third and final ODI will take place on Sunday from 7 am, TT time.
