Defence Force face improving Deportivo Point Fortin

DEFENCE FORCE will face the improving Deportivo Point Fortin on Friday, in the opening match of an 11th round Ascension Football Tournament double-header, at the La Horquetta Recreation Ground, Arima.

Both teams met at the La Horquetta venue on April 8, and they shared the points, by virtue of a 1-1 result.

Defence Force are second on the ten-team standings with 26, the same tally as leaders Terminix La Horquetta Rangers but with an inferior goal difference. Point Fortin are fourth with 20 points, having won five games on the trot.

In the second game on Friday, hosts Rangers will be looking to add further misery on the point-less Moruga; Rangers hammered Moruga 11-1 on April 8.

On Saturday, from 5 pm at the Arima Velodrome, Real West Fort United will meet Central FC, followed by the encounter between Central Soccer World and AC Port of Spain.

Third-placed Police will square off against Cunupia FC in the last game of this weekend, from 5 pm on Sunday, at the Police Barracks in St James.
