“The biggest party in sport is back, and what is a party without ice cream?” Those were the words of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 tournament’s head of branding and hospitality, Natalie Black-O’Connor, as she announced a new three-year partnership with Creamery Novelties. The announcement was made at Creamery Novelties, Diamond Vale Industrial Estate, Diego Martin, on Thursday.

The agreement between the CPL and Creamery Novelties will run from 2022 to 2024. The value of the agreement was not disclosed during the media briefing.

Trade marketing manager of the Hadco Group Kimberly Fraser said, “I am elated to confirm that we have signed on as a sponsor for the 2022-2024 seasons of the CPL T20 cricket tournament. Through this partnership, Creamery Novelties will be present at all the tournament matches featuring six teams across four countries, in St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago, for the upcoming season which starts on August 31.

“Creamery Novelties has also been named as the official ice cream of the CPL, which will allow fans the opportunity to sample and purchase their favourite novelties throughout the tournament.”

In addition to there being Creamery Novelties ice cream available at all CPL games, Fraser went on to add, “Our brand ambassadors will also be present to interact with fans and answer questions.” It is their belief that this level of interactivity will complement the creativity, diversity and riveting display of sportsmanship that the CPL is renowned for.

O’Connor said she believes both players and fans all across the Caribbean will relish the chance to “cool down with Creamery Novelties products.” O’Connor could not contain her excitement that the CPL will be held region-wide once again. She said,

“The 2022 season is set to be the biggest yet. As we mark our 10th anniversary, we are hugely excited to be able to travel around the region once more.” This enthusiasm stems from the fact that, due to the covid19 pandemic, the previous two editions of the tournament were both held in a single country – TT in 2020, and St Kitts and Nevis the following year.

The 2022 CPL will be present in Trinidad for eight matches from September 12-18, with the Trinbago Knight Riders participating in four of those games.
