Tobago boat Mini Me wins new 50 mph class

MINI ME of Tobago won the new 50mph H class at the Mobil 1 and Track Moving Forward Regatta Four at the TT Yacht Club in Chaguaramas on Sunday.

The H class featured five boats, including four from Tobago – Ghost Operation, Thanos and Little Antz.

Thanos finished behind Mini Me to grab second place.

Timeless emerged as the winners in the 60 mph G class, Infusion IV was second and Trident II ended third.

Boats also competed in the 70 mph F class and the 80 mph E class.

In the F class, Extreme Measures was too fast for the other boats as Ratchet ended second and Ketch This was third.

Mobil Outlaw won the E class and Blue Ice of Tobago was second.

Ironman was the lone competitor in the 120 mph B class.

The final regatta of the National Championship season will be held on July 10.

The Trinidad and Tobago Powerboat Association expects Mr Solo, Motul Monster and Big Thunder to participate in preparation for the Great Race on August 20.
