Soca Warriors kick off Nations League campaign

THE TRINIDAD and Tobago men’s football team will kick off their campaign in the 2022-2023 Concacaf Nations League on Friday when they square off against hosts Nicaragua in Managua from 10 pm (TT time).

The TT team will be coached by assistant Reynold Carrington, as Angus Eve, who also doubles up as the TT men’s Under-20 coach (the Under-20 team will be engaged in World Cup qualifiers this month in Costa Rica), will miss this game due to a personal family emergency.

Uncapped goalkeeper Jabari St Hillaire, as well as defenders/midfielders Alvin Jones, Neveal Hackshaw and Noah Powder will miss the trip, leaving the TT team with only 19 players for the Nicaragua fixture.

Following this game, the TT squad will return home for a contest against the Bahamas, on Monday, at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.
