THE executive and board of management of the St Lucia National Cricket Association has congratulated Ackeem Auguste for earning his maiden call-up to the Windward Islands Volcanoes team.
Auguste is on the Volcanoes squad for their round four West Indies Four-Day Championship match against Leeward Islands Hurricanes, which bowled off on Wednesday at Queen’s Park Oval in St Clair.
A media release by the St Lucia Cricket Association, said, “Auguste has excelled at every level of the game of cricket since playing first for the St Lucia Under-15, followed by the Windward Islands Under-17 and Under-19, as well as the West Indies Under-16 and Under-19 teams. What is remarkable is that he has also captained each of these teams.”
Auguste was not able to play the entire 2022 Under-19 World Cup in the Caribbean earlier this year due to illness.
“The St Lucia National Cricket Association wishes Mr Auguste a long and successful cricket career at the highest level. He surely has the talent and we ask all St Lucians and Windward Islanders to fully support this gifted, committed and determined young man.”
