[UUPDATED] Missing Rio Claro fishermen's bodies found

The bodies of two Rio Claro fishermen, who went missing at sea, were found on Saturday.

Newsday understands that Richard Ramlochan, 29, was found at 2.30 pm, while Ishmael Mohammed, 22, was found around 8 am, at Pineapple Cove, Blanchisseuse.

They were fishing along the shore of Damien Bay, Blanchisseuse, when they got into difficulties after going into the rough waters on Thursday.

Reports indicate that the two men struggled for several minutes before they disappeared below the water.

Newsday was told that Blanchisseuse police were assisted by hunters in the search for the men who were staying at a villa on Paria Main Road.

Both men lived on Bucket Corner Old Road in Rio Claro.
