Diego Martin man denied bail for attempted murder

A 25-year-old Diego Martin man was remanded into custody when he appeared before a Port of Spain magistrate to face charges of attempted murder on Thursday morning.

Police said Che Murdock of Bridge Road, Diego Martin was arrested earlier this month and charged on Wednesday in relation to reports of an attempted murder.

The incident reportedly happened on September 26.

Murdock was charged with attempted murder, shooting with intent to kill, possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of a firearm to endanger life and possession of ammunition to endanger life.

He is expected to return to court on November 11 as the matter was transferred to the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Fifth Court.
